Located in the Capilano area, North Shore Commissary is North Vancouver’s newest commissary kitchen. It was founded in 2018 by Ryan, who’s got a real passion for food, and for small businesses in the Lower Mainland.
His latest venture, where small food producers have access to a professional kitchen space, helps them take their food products to the next level! Ryan believes in sustainable food production and promoting a healthy community experience. He looks forward to meeting and working with all the great food producers in the Greater Vancouver area!

Born in Nova Scotia, Ryan grew to love and appreciate food while cooking with his father who specialized in comfort soul food. He moved to Vancouver in 2008 to further his cooking journey, by experiencing a new region. Ryan was on the ownership team responsible for operatingJackalopes in East Vancouver and saw it rise to prominence in the area. Ryan also co-creates the recipes, makes, and distributes Jung and Walker, a successful hot sauce company founded in 2008. His creativity and dedication in this venture has garnered his award-winning hot sauces a loyal following.
